What schools ask us before they order.
Gemilang Apparel’s FAQ answers six things schools ask before ordering: ordering and minimums, track bottoms, trousers and other wear, sizes and colours, the school logo, and delivery. In short: WhatsApp your logo, colours, rough quantity and date; the minimum is 30–50 pieces per design; track bottoms are interlock polyester; trousers are made to order; orders are couriered across Malaysia from Kajang.

Q·01 · Tempahan
How does ordering work?
Five questions on the order itself: the steps, the minimum, the price, the timing and who can buy.
How do we place an order with Gemilang Apparel?
Gemilang Apparel takes orders on WhatsApp at 011-2961 7192. Send four things: your school logo, your colours, a rough quantity and the date you need the order by. We reply with a free digital mockup and recommend a fabric that fits your budget. Next comes a physical sample, and mass production starts only after you approve it. Finished orders go out by courier across Peninsular and East Malaysia, or you collect them from our factory in Kajang, Selangor.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order at Gemilang Apparel is 30–50 pieces per design. It is counted design by design, so a school ordering two different designs needs to reach the minimum for each one, not across both together. Where your order sits in that range is something we confirm order by order: tell us the garment and a rough quantity on WhatsApp, and we tell you the exact minimum. A rough number is all the first message needs.
How much does a school order cost?
Gemilang Apparel quotes each school order from its brief, because the price depends on the garment, the fabric, the logo method and the quantity. You buy direct from our factory in Kajang, with no middleman mark-up. To get a price, send your logo, colours, a rough quantity and your target date on WhatsApp, and tell us your budget if you have one: with the free digital mockup we recommend the fabric that fits it.
How long does an order take?
Gemilang Apparel plans each order against your target date, which is why that date is one of the four things we ask for in the first WhatsApp message, next to your logo, colours and rough quantity. Give us the date the pupils need the garments, such as a sports day or the start of the school year, and we tell you what can be done by then. Leave room in your plan for the physical sample: mass production starts only after you approve it.
Who can order from Gemilang Apparel?
Gemilang Apparel sells in bulk to primary and secondary schools across Malaysia. Our orders come from three kinds of buyer: the school itself, its PIBG (the parent-teacher association), and school vendors who supply uniforms and sportswear to schools. All three buy direct from our factory in Kajang, with no middleman in between, and every order starts the same way: a WhatsApp message with your logo, colours, rough quantity and date.
Q·02 · Seluar trek
What are the track bottoms like?
Our main line: what every pair is made of, and what is yours to choose.
- Reinforced elastic waistband
- Deep zip pockets
- Side piping: none, single or double
What fabric are the track bottoms made from?
Gemilang Apparel makes school track bottoms in heavy-duty interlock polyester. Interlock is a double knit that looks the same on both faces, so it is thicker and steadier than a single jersey and its cut edges do not curl. Polyester keeps its colour and shape through regular washing, which matters for track bottoms worn for PE and sports days all year. With your free digital mockup we recommend the fabric that fits your budget, and the physical sample lets you feel it before mass production.
What comes on every pair, and what does the school decide?
Every pair of Gemilang Apparel track bottoms has a reinforced elastic waistband, deep zip pockets and seams reinforced for active wear. The school decides the rest: a straight or tapered leg, the side piping (none, a single stripe or a double stripe, in your school colours), your logo and its method, and how many pieces of each size, from Standard 1 to Form 6. Send your choices with the brief and they appear on the free digital mockup, so the school can agree on a picture rather than a description.
Q·03 · Seluar panjang
Do you make trousers and other school wear?
Trousers are our second main line, after track bottoms; house T-shirts, koko shirts and ties come after them.
Trousers · made to order
- WhatsApp brief
- Free mockup
- Sample first
Do you make school trousers?
Yes, Gemilang Apparel makes school trousers. They are one of our two main lines, next to track bottoms, and are made to order the same way as everything else: a WhatsApp brief, a free digital mockup, then a physical sample before mass production. Tell us the trouser cut, colour and fabric your school uses and a rough quantity, with a photo of the trousers pupils wear now if you have one, and we work from that.
Which other school wear does Gemilang Apparel make?
Beyond track bottoms and trousers, Gemilang Apparel makes three more kinds of school wear. House colour T-shirts (baju rumah sukan) come with a round neck or a polo collar in Merah, Biru, Kuning, Hijau, Ungu and Jingga, in breathable microfibre (eyelet or interlock) or combed cotton. Co-curricular (koko) shirts have a polo or mandarin collar for uniformed bodies such as KRS, Pengakap, Pandu Puteri, PBSM and Kadet Polis, with crest embroidery and button plackets. School ties come clip-on, zipper or self-tie, woven or printed, with custom stripes, crest badges and prefect rank markings.
Q·04 · Saiz dan warna
Which sizes and colours can we have?
Standard school sizes run from Standard 1 to Form 6; the colours come from your school.
Standard school sizes
Which sizes do you make, and is there a size chart?
Gemilang Apparel makes standard school sizes from primary Standard 1 to secondary Form 6. The size chart on our homepage is for T-shirts only: round neck from XS to 9XL plus kids’ sizes 24 to 34, collar T-shirts from XS to 5XL, and Muslimah from XS to 8XL in long sleeve, all measured in inches. It is not a chart for track bottoms or trousers. For the measurements of each track bottom size, ask us on WhatsApp before you collect sizes from pupils.
Do you follow MOE colours and cuts?
Yes, in Gemilang Apparel’s own description: our standard school range is made in MOE colours and cuts. That is how we describe it, not an approval or a certificate from the Ministry of Education. Your school knows its own colour rules best, so send your school colours, house colours and piping colours with the brief. You see them on the free digital mockup first, then on the physical sample before mass production: that is the moment to check them against what your school requires.
Q·05 · Logo sekolah
How does the school logo go on?
Three methods, all in-house, and you see the result twice before mass production.
Logo methods · all in-houseKaedah logo
| Method | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Silkscreen printing | Ink pushed through a mesh screen, one colour at a time | A school name or a logo in a few flat colours |
| Sublimation | Heat sets dye into polyester, so the design becomes part of the fabric | Full-colour designs on polyester |
| Computerised embroidery | The design stitched in thread by machine | A school crest |
Which logo methods do you offer?
Gemilang Apparel offers three logo methods, all done in-house at the Kajang factory: silkscreen printing, sublimation and computerised embroidery. Silkscreen pushes ink through a mesh screen, one colour at a time, and suits a school name or a logo in a few flat colours. Sublimation uses heat to set dye into polyester, so a full-colour design becomes part of the fabric. Computerised embroidery stitches the design in thread and is the usual choice for a crest. Send your artwork with the brief and we show it on the mockup.
Can we see the logo before mass production?
Yes, you see the logo twice before Gemilang Apparel starts mass production. It comes back first on the free digital mockup, placed on the garment in your colours, so the school can see its size, position and colours before anything is sewn. Then a physical sample is made, and mass production starts only after you approve it. Look at the logo on the sample in daylight and from a few steps away, the way pupils are seen on a field: colours that look right on a screen can look different on fabric.
