Gemilang Apparel’s main line is track bottoms and trousers, followed by house colour T-shirts, koko shirts and school ties. Pattern making, cutting, stitching, printing and embroidery are done in-house, and Gemilang Apparel sells direct to schools, PIBG and school vendors across Malaysia, from 30–50 pieces per design.

What does Gemilang Apparel make?

Track bottoms and trousers are Gemilang Apparel’s main line. Track bottoms come in a straight or tapered cut, in heavy-duty interlock polyester; trousers are made to order the same way as everything else, from a WhatsApp brief to an approved sample (how ordering works). Around them come house colour T‑shirts for sports day, co-curricular (koko) shirts and school ties, all made for schools, in your school’s or houses’ colours.

What happens under one roof in Kajang?

Gemilang Apparel makes every garment in its own factory in Kajang, Selangor. Pattern making, cutting, stitching, silkscreen printing, sublimation and computerised embroidery are all done in-house, so a school deals with the people who make its garments, not with a middleman.

One roof also means that the free digital mockup, the physical sample and the finished order come from the same people, with no middleman between your brief and the machines. An order uses the steps its garments and its logo need.

    Every garment starts as a paper pattern, drafted in-house for each school size.

    Cutting

    Memotong

    Fabric is laid up in layers and the pieces are cut together, the way bulk orders are made.

  3. 03

    Stitching

    Menjahit

    The pieces are sewn together, with reinforced seams for sports and active wear.

  4. 04

    Silkscreen printing

    Cetakan skrin

    House names and school designs are pushed through a screen, one colour at a time.

  5. 05

    Sublimation

    Sublimasi

    Heat presses the dye into the polyester, so a full-colour print becomes part of the fabric.

    Embroidery

    School crests are stitched by computerised embroidery machines.

Gemilang Apparel sells in bulk to primary and secondary schools across Malaysia. An order usually comes from one of three buyers, and each of them buys straight from the factory: factory-direct prices, with no middleman mark-up.
